About Colleen


Colleen is a high school librarian, obsessed with Learning Commons transformations, Makerspaces, technology education and making stuff.  Always a maker, Colleen brings a passionate artistic energy to the school library world.

She loves all things Google, and is a Certified Google Educator, as well as a Google Education Trainer.

As a connected educator, she brings the global community to her students on a daily basis. From learning from mentor experts for Maker Monday to chatting with students around the states connecting for dot day, she is always on the look out for authentic audiences for students.

Colleen was awarded the School Library Journal (SLJ) School Librarian of the Year Co-finalist Award in 2014 and named by Scholastic as one of the Top Ten School Librarians to follow on Twitter in 2014. She also holds the distinction of being named an “Innovator” in the Library Journal Mover and Shaker class of 2016.
